Default Reading tracks off a thumb drive.

I just got a 16gb usb thumb drive and I was wondering if anyone uses one for there storage as far as working with tracks in traktor.
    Is it fast enough?
How much storage do you use for tracks?

    Thanks in advance.

I've not tried loading tracks from a USB drive personally but as far as I'm aware Traktor caches loaded tracks and doesn't 'stream' them.

Therefore as long as the stripe is loaded in Traktor, you should be able to jump around cue points seamlessley.

It should be simple enough to try it with just one track anyway....

I've done this when a friend brought a thumb drive over to one of my house parties. Not one issue on my new PC. My old one would have had drop outs, seeing that's what happened when I loaded a track from a CD. It was a crappy computer though

I've tried this in the past and I was fine, you do have to analyze the tracks before your set so you have the stripes ready to rock en roll!
