    Default Track Selection Techniques

    Yo.....

I'm fairly new to DJ'ing so advice would be helpful on this...

What is your track selection techniques. Do you start high and then bring it down and then build back up? Or what else?

Basically I see Track Selection as the most important thing. So any advice you guys have on a good system or a theory on anything would be helpful.....

There's no set way to do it, just think about how you'd like the energy level to play out, think of songs that sound good together (if you have some knowledge of key that helps a bunch).

Know your music well enough to be able to think of a tune that would work well on the spot. It's all about the energy/mood of the moment, imo, even when you're just doing a mix in your bedroom.

The best system is no system, let it happen organically.
