    I think you missed the point.

    Seems like the point was more about how everyone is a DJ, (which is probably the case in every major city) as opposed to letting anyone DJ.

    It's the same thing in Toronto.

    But even when I started 14 years ago it seemed like everyone was a DJ.

    In Toronto we had a boom with the rave scene from the mid 90's to about 2000. And a lot of those DJ's have actually stopped...Especially in terms of the "house" scene which has shrunk a lot, so it's possible the number of DJ's have stagnated, or stayed static. But who knows. There's no census reports on DJ's.
