When did you start digital dj'ing?

Started Sept/Oct '04 out of boredom during the lonely nights of my student exchange in Copenhagen, using a couple others proggies then this very Traktor 2.x. It was originally to have more fun than just tweaking nice playlists in iTunes, but combined with some video trainspotting and a first "proper" house/techno club night the bug bit me...

Dunno about you Paddy, but I really missed T2's filters when they were ditched in T3, more specifically the graph...

Being NI only since then, but it's been keyboard+mouse until my first controller in late 2007, main objective being mixing with records on TTs and a real mixer - which I have been happily doing with for over a year now, 95% of that with timecode.

I wasn't a filter freak......yet and started spinning EDM when TStud3 was around so I really discovered filters then. I aggre the display was a nice touch tho.

When Final Scratch was released.
Wanted to be in the beta, but was strapped for cash.

2003 with Traktor 2.somthing and a DM2 + x-session.

I first started to used CD players back in 1994. Pioneer CDJ-500 a Denon DN-2000F. CD players are digital so I included that one. But the first real computer digital DJing I encountered was in 2002 with the first DVS, the Final Scratch 1.0 (linux) I installed one in the club I DJed as resident from 2002 to 2004. We upgraded the software to FS Traktor 1.1 (still linux) then to FS Traktor 1.5 (windows). But I was still active buying vinyl on a regular basis until my last acquisition in 2007 (Miguel Migs' "So Far"). Also in 2007, I started to use a Numark D2 Director until 2009. I sold the unit and got my Traktor Scratch Duo in Feb 2010 then upgraded to TSP a month later.
