I was looking through some ebay postings for custom 1200's and came across a set that had been powder coated instead of painted.
Anyone have any experience with having any gear powder coated?

Yeah, there are a bunch of these on Ebay as far as I have seen.
Look up 'AY Customs' on FB, they have what you need!
Take them apart and take them to get powder coated, should run about $100.
I powder coat stuff all the time, stuff lasts forever........
I powder coated my decks and had an issue with one. One looks awesome and the powder coat is super strong. The issue I had with the other deck is that when I put it back together some of the parts didn't fit correctly and it caused the paint to chip. If you do it be careful of the buildup of the paint. In my opinion Car paint looks better and may be easier when putting it back together.

hmm... thats something i was a little afraid of.
Was the build up something you could have sanded down a bit to make fit?
I was thinking of painting instead PC again because I just got a set of dicers and was thinking of having them painted at the same time i get the tables done.
Anyone else with Powder Coat vs Paint thoughts?
