Default Likelihood of Serato/Traktor for iPad at NAMM?

I think it's LONG overdue and could be a major reason to hold off on buying any DVS if it's true.

I would expect Rane/Native Instruments to create their own soundcard for the iPad then either have the app as a free download (Rane) or as a paid download (NI).

I highly doubt it. Really, it just doesn't seem realistic to me at all. I'd love to be wrong however.

only obstacle i see, is the power to the ipad since the audio interface would take up that connection.

that has nothing to do with it, you'd still have to buy the audio interface and turntables to make it work.

they only way i see the power issue being handled is by hooking the iPad to a Rane 57/68 USB and it powering the iPad as well. I would love to have a 64gb iPad with serato.

I just want an app to prep tracks in Traktor, not one to DJ with.

I can't imagine prepping tracks on an iPad. The iPad 2 was a lot better than the iPad 1 or my iPhone (or my old 3g or my girlfriend's 4s…we're all apple whores in this neck of the woods)…………but it's still just not precise enough.

not to start a serato vs traktor war. but I think SSL would run smoother on a iPad that traktor. keep in mind that SSL core function is to play two mp3s at once while staying in time with the timecode.
