Cheap external sound card problem
So I bought this cheap $2 external sound card
[ame="http://www.amazon.com/External-Channel-Sound-Adapter-Notebook/dp/B000N35A0Y/ref=lh_ni_t_"]Amazon.com: USB 2.0 External 5.1 Channel 3D Sound Card Adapter for PC Notebook Laptop: Electronics@@AMEPARAM@@http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/316qeg3p70L.@@AMEPARAM@@316qeg3p70L[/ame]
it worked effortlessly with Virtual DJ. I recently made the switch to Traktor Pro 2, and I can't seem to get it set up. Does Traktor frown on my cheap sound card, and its not possible to use it?
Anyone have experience with this sound card and Traktor?

You may want to check few things first.
1) make sure you set your soundcard driver to 44100Hz 16bits. If it's a Realtek chipset, you want to open it's dedicated control panel to make sure the settings match the one in Windows Sound option AND in traktor
2) if 1 do not solve the problem, install ASIO4ALL, and select ASIO4ALL as soundcard in Traktor
When the 2 above solutions do not work on an optimized and DPC free system AND have no handy ASIO card, I use VAC instead of ASIO4ALL, usually it cure the problem... even if it looks a weird solution.

Does Traktor see the card? What exactly is it doing or not doing?

Traktor recognizes the sound card, but I don't have an option to choose the external sound card as my 'Output Monitor'.

I only see a single stereo out on this amazing 2 dollar soundcard

Yeah exactly, but on Virtual DJ you could choose the external sound card to be where the sound to your headphones went, and then your internal sound card to be the Master. I don't see that option on Traktor.

1) install asio4all to aggregate your internal and external soundcards
2) thats it (without going out of the scope of the question posed)

New clues to our investigation!
Ok so, I installed asio4all, and I can now choose the USB audio (the external sound card) as my monitor and my internal sound card as my master. However, Traktor will not play. Asio4All has a red exclamation mark as its symbol. There are the little play symbols in the Asio4All control panel next to the USB audio and the Realtek HD audio output. When I press the hardware buffer option in the USB audio WDM device, the music begins but it is choppy and keeps stopping and going every few seconds. In Traktor under Audio Setup, the latency is 512 and in orange. I assume that this is the reason why Traktor does not play?
