    I find it rather cool that Amon Tobin's setup made festivals put some more effort into visuals rather than the 'usual' lasers and stuff. You see videomapping more frequently and it really gives an extra dimension to things.

    Recently at TimeWarp Holland they had a load of cubes videomapped which gave some cool effects now and then.

    Yeah its Etienne De Crecy, I seen the stage at the UK Global Gathering in 2008, it was cool as fek but I wasn't in the mood the for his tuneage

    Haha it's moderately embarrassing that i didn't see it say who it was before the video started! Oops. In my defense I just skipped further in to avoid the crappy intro.

    Amon's is definitely amazing.

    Both the above look very nice, but from a DJ point of view they are shit. They must be staged from the start to allow the lights to be in sync. may as well play a cd.

    you don't need it to be staged so rigidly, you can set up cue points/midi triggers that trigger both audio and video, it's like preparing an ableton live set. You prepare your audio/midi clips and you link them to the videos or visual effects you want. Then it can be quite dynamic.
