ESPECIALLY, when you already have an open thread about trying to use your ipod to mix with a controller.

ah, alright, sorry dood, didnt mean anything by it. first post i read (and i havnt been on in a while) and it seemed kinda like you didnt do any research. then i saw the double post, sorry man.

i think youre pretty much boned w/ being constrained to an ipod (i learned track selection mixing in college w/ 2 ipods and a crossfader, but theres not much more you can do than that, especially with one.)

what kinda ipod is it? cause i know for the iphone/ipad/ipod touch, theres the DJay app which uses music from itunes stored on the device... food for thought.

and cause i was kinda an asshole earlier, i found the link for ya.

(i know it says for ipad, but its for all of the apple touch devices)

Good hunting man. And welcome to the forums.

I 've read both threads and you know man fact is an ipod will not get you far. Keep your ipod for listening to music by yourself.

Wait for your birthday, spend that leftover christmas money, or get a job and buy either a cheap/decent laptop and a cheap/decent midi controller OR get cheap CDJs and a cheap mixer.

This is what you should do if you are passionate about music and you wanna be taken serious as a DJ and wanna get your career somewhere.

Turntables and vinyl is also an option but it is a bit more difficult to master and beginning a vinyl collection is not cheap and takes some time. So I would advise against vinyl. For now.
