Default Korg NanoKey, nanoKontrol, nanoPAD / Finally something useful

    http://www.dv247.com/news/Korg%20nan...o%20PAD/131777

Korg is coming up with some midi controllers that might be incredible useful. The prices in the link at the top might not be fixed, I think they will come out for 99$ each or something like that. The nanoPad is really awesome for controllerism I will buy at least one, perhaps two for 4 decks.

I'm hoping & praying these will be able to be chained.

Its the shape that does it for me, its nice and slim so it easily fits between you and whatever equipment you may have running. Also having a ton of devices like this is the next best thing to modular units - you can easily line up a few to have a pretty decent customised work surface.

I too hope they can be chained !

Cant wait to see these in person

The nanopad will be the cheapest device i know of that has a XY pad on it too !

I will def be getting at least 1 of those. Awesome form factor + price. Hopefully we see more products like this which can be used to cheaply complement our existing setups.

+1 on the great form factor. Perfect for studio desks and on the road setups. Definitely going to pick up the nanoPad.

Expected October 2008. Pre-order your Nano Pad, Nano Key or Nano Kontrol from Digital Village and be guaranteed stock from the first UK shipment
I wonder if that's the same expected release date for the US, as well.

Initial hand-on reviews agree: "A bit plasticky and flimsy, but you can't beat the price". Good, because it sounds like you'll be replacing them fairly often. :-)

The NanoKontrol would be pretty cool to do full rebuild mod on. Solder out all the parts and replace them for quality/larger components in a new shell. It would probably work out cheaper than one of those DIY kits with the same quantity of inputs and consume less time. That way it would be as sturdy as you make it.
