    Default Atrak switches to Traktor

Theres a hot thread up in the serato forum about Atrak switching from Serato to Traktor.

    http://serato.com/forum/discussion/589345

Thought some peeps here would be interested. Looks like NI's marketing dept is on a roll scoring another high profile dj!

I wonder when we will see a new promo video? I've heard rumors of new features being tied to the new timecode... wouldn't be surprised to see this revealed with a Atrak clip!

Anyhow... any thoughts on Atrak switching?

I'm sure atrak could rock on anything! It's not the software that's making him fresh.

But i'm surprised Serato isnt trying to hold on to they're high profile users.

Would love to see a promo clip with A-Trak, he's got to be one of my top 5 DJs.

maybe he just likes Traktor better... <shrugs>

to each their own...i don't really look at what people use...if he walked out with a washboard and banjo and rocked it...it wouldnt matter to me...

    i also love how everyone said "there's money involved"...maybe...maybe not...we don't know...

Interesting but I'm not that surprised, I've seen him live and always thought his style would benefit greatly from Traktor's layout.

Ha! I've been lurking over there on Seratos forums for a while now and I've been following that thread as well. There's some ignorant comments over there for sure.
From my own personal expeirence, it does indeed matter what big name DJs use but really only towards newbies to the DVS market. It's kinda what swayed me into getting Traktor Scratch a few years back. As a newbie to the digital format back then, and somewhat to djing (I had about two years expirence on cdj's), I couldn't help but notice that a lot of my favorite djs at the time were on Traktor. That ultimately helped me make up my mind even though local buddies and sales guys were telling me to get Serato.
