Default Traktor Pro 2 Effect Unit Mapping On-Off

    Hello DJTT Forum,
Long time reader first time poster. Recently got a Midi Fighter to go along with my Numark Stealth. Getting the Midi Fighter has got me into Mapping things for it along with my Stealth. Running Traktor Pro 2.

I have a question about how to Map a button to for example turn "Effect Unit 1" on Deck A while also turning "Effect Unit 1" off on Deck B.

The turning on isn't so much the problem since I can use the "Add In>Mixer>Effect Unit 1 On". Its the turning an effect Unit Off I'm having a hard time with Mapping.

So my question all boils down to...How to Use a button to turn off an effect unit on a Deck in Traktor Pro 2.

    Thanks for the help!

There are so many ways to do that.
For starters, "Add In>Mixer>Effect Unit 1 On" is not the path "just for" turning an effect unit on. You can set it to "off" as well.

Just one example, if you want to set up a button that holds FX Unit 1 ON on Deck A while you press, and at the same time holds FX Unit 1 OFF on Deck B, you map:

    Add In>Mixer>Effect Unit 1 On
    Interaction: Button
    Mode: Hold
    Target: Deck A
    Inverse: No (unchecked)
    and another

    Add In>Mixer>Effect Unit 1 On
    Interaction: Button
    Mode: Hold
    Target: Deck B
    Inverse: Yes (checked)

This will, however, turn FX Unit 1 ON for Deck B when you release the button.

For other specific needs, you can map it in a different way. You always can.

    Thanks DJ MiCL.

It seems the "inverse" button is the key to getting the effect I want. I'll try it when I get home. Appreciate the help.
