Really ? I live in the province of Antwerp, near the small town of Schriek, you 've probably never heard of it.
I am also pretty close to Tremelo and Keerbergen, those names might ring a bell.

And in the future I'll probably move to exactly where you lived because I'll most likely be employed in the chemical industry there.

Wow. Small world. The closest we ever got was Mechelen, though. One of my dad's colleges lived there.

I'm really sad I don't remember more Flemish. I managed to get around the city okay (though I had the grammar and vocabulary of a 6 year old) mostly from watching TV with subtitles and just being immersed in it. I don't think I could do anything now except ask if someone spoke English and order Turkish food. (Random funny fact: I don't know how to do the later in English)

My first big electronic music event was when the Cutty Sark Tall Ships came through in like 2001. There was a warehouse party somewhere at the port on the eastern bank of the Schelde (sp?). I didn't really know anything about electronic music back then, not even enough to remember who was performing/spinning. It was a lot of fun, though.
