What are you looking to do? I think that's really important when you're deciding what to buy.

worry less about equipment and more about your music...learn to find what YOU like not what some blog says is WOTZ HAWT or whatever... I started the digital thing with a bcd3000 an x1 and the enclosed version of traktor le (less than 400 dollars), now I have a midifighter the same x1 and an s4 and some Allen & Heath XD-53s (which I think are way overpriced) and I'm content. The true beauty of the digital setup is that it isn't very expensive to get started, you really will (should? I'm beginning to think that 80% of this forum torrent their music) spend more on music than your equipment...

^ This. I say get some beginner tables/controller and some speakers and see if you like it before you jump into the deep end. And the music you play is going to be important
