Great question man. Still trying to work this out myself.

I've noticed a couple things: 1) Beatmasher or any of the sample based fx (reverse grain, transpose, etc) work well last in the chain, because then you can sample the effected sound.
    2) There are some fx which are not very usable. Chains that keep a clean understandable sound at the output seem best for the mix.

I like Flanger/Drive/BMasher or Gater/Delay/Reverb but need more suggestions too.

Hmm Id argue that beat masher should always be first in the chain, but maybe thats just me.

For D&B I must have Beatmasher, Gater, then the last can be whatever, I like Ring Mod though.

The gater is by far my favourite effect, super powerful for modifying the ?groove? of one track to match the other

When using Traktor fx i will use the Beatmasher - Gater - Delay as my default set of default FX. I always change the FX on the second unit, using but not limited to the Flangers, Phasers, Ring Modulation and Reverb.

Like midian said having the Beatmasher as the first effect seems to be the most effective the majority of the time.

I use Delays, Gaters and LFO filters. The beatmasher can go either on the first or the last slot, you can use it to save a loop you want to keep untouched (third slot) or a loop you want to play with (first one). At the end it depends on what you need.

    Have to agree...

the Gater is the one that kicks serious $%&.

    - I like the gater combined with the Filter LFO (which does not have to be in an fx bank in TSI 2.2 as it has it owns knob) and sometimes the reverb as effect 3.

    - Beatmasher as standalone.

    - I also like the gater combined with the lo-Fi effect for a really messed up sound...sounding like the Speakers plus the amp are bailing out.
