    Default Audacity Recording Question!!!

I have 2 numark v7's and a macbook pro. Since your not able to record on v7's, people have said to download Audacity and run RCA to Headphone jack from your booth/record on your mixer into the headphone jack on the laptop. But here's where I'm stuck...what are the next steps to be able to record. Do I have to open a certain type of project? Do I have to change the inputs? Or will this way of recording not even work? If someone could please let me know how to do this then that would be great!

    Thanks!

change the input to Built-in input. Then you should be able to follow the steps in this video to check and make a quality recording.

Once audacity is being fed the audio, then hit the red(opaque) record button on the top left corner.

You need yo run it to a input not headphone. Unless you have a jack that can distinguish from input and output.
