get the Numark Red Wave Headphones (they are good from what i've heard just treat them nice if not they will break)

    Buy this not anything else.
DONT! - when they break you'll kick yourself

Get a set of Sony MDR-V6's for around the same price and they will last a lifetime of abuse.

They are "industry standard" headphones whereas the Numark are consumer grade crap.

Oh and my take on the setup - get a Mixtrack Pro + Headphones above and you are good to go if you are just testing the waters. Its around the same price and less cables to fuck around with for a beginner.

I don't like layered anything e.g. The FX on the VCI-100 Mk1 (or any controller for that matter) it just leads to confusion and makes me personally uncomfortable needing to watch what layer is engaged.

Deevey, I'm not new to Audio.
I hook up Car Audio, Have my own Amazing System Rig I have myself.
Music is my life. The most stuff I own, (My stuff, not parents etc.) Is my Computer, Monitor, and my Subwoofer and sound system.

Honestly, I'll get the MixTrack Pro If it's cheapier
Or the Regular Mixtrack with the Soundcard..

This is a really hard decision. As you can see, the VCI-100 is high quailty.
However, I don't like the look nor some of the features on it.

Looks cool, don't skimp on the phones

I'd honestly go for the "blemished" model they have listed for a $100 saving, I never have a problem buying secondhand gear so long as there's a full warranty... most likely its repair (from Numark authorized) at which stage its fully tested or a demo model so its been used (and tested) in the shop, either way no big deal IMHO.

Its a fair bit of a saving and you will probably want to upgrade within a year anyhow and sell it for almost what you bought it for.

    Nah.
I rather get it now. Pay $65.
    Than pay 3 more payments.

They got a nice thing theres no interest or anything. I rather get it new and quicker. (:
    Thanks for the information.

I'm still looking for affordable headphones. I'm hearing pros and cons on that.
