I always get wallpapers for stuff that I'm into.

The ubuntu machine has a Ducati theme, the win 7 machine has a scrolling set of Ducati images as the wall paper....... you can see where this is going


P.S. ; before anyone points it out, yes I know I can get a Suzuki and 'optimize' it for 1/2 the money but I can fire up the Ducati and it just goes with no hangs or drop outs...........

I'm really picky about my desktop backgrounds. I always have been. I don't know what it is, but I like to set the tone perfectly.

I also am a big fan of minimalistic desktop backgrounds. I've always tried to reduce clutter on the desktop, and now with the Mac I keep the desktop itself completely free of any icons.



I generally search out a new background every few months, and stick with it for awhile. I'll do a basic google search, and then check out deviantart as well.
