Default Any Tips and Advice to get into Making Your own Tracks?

I couldn't find any threads on this..there may be a lot, I would assume so..

But would anyone help me by giving me some advice and the right direction to go in if I want to start making my own tracks. I have FL Studio 10: Producer Edition and have been watching tutorials like crazy. Is this the right program to be looking in?

Eventually I want to make my own tracks and mix them as well as make remixes, instead of just playing/mixing the top house/trance/whatever songs of today.

    Thank you!

Dunno where you are from, but there is an institute in Liverpool called SAE that give you courses on electronic music production. I haven't attended myself though, I'm already in university all week and work on the weekends, so I don't get much free time, but it's supposed to be good.

Any DAW that fits your workflow is the proper program, there are not right or wrongs here. I have a "non academic" approach on learning to write songs. Basically read some music theory to get your basics and then just play with the program, either by trying to replicate a song you like or just building things from scratch.

This will also come in handy when you get stuck
