    i heard from someone at the store i returned it that if you press down close to the pitch fader it will actually change the pitch. didnt get the chance to try that with mine.
    no it doesnt change the pitch.. the plastic may feel as if it is not solid, but it is!

    Hm yeah i tried out the pitch thing too... nothing happened. May have just been your Xponent or something? hm who knows. But I have been using my Xponent at all shows and events i play which means quite a bit of toting around and it has held up like a champ.

    this didnt happen to my unit it was a customer at a music store that told me when i returned it.

    after have denons in the past and renting all sorts of dual cd player i didnt like the feel of the xponent. I hated the faders and the jog wheels did not run smooth. one would rub down on the body and make a rubbing noise.

    not to knock m-audio but i think they could of came up with a much more professional unit
