Is there an option other than Multicore cable for Audio 8? I'm using timecode and after troubleshooting for the last 2 hours I realized it's the cable. Son. Of. A. Bitch. Thanks for you help in advance. PS... Using tables.... dvs.

any decent RCA wire you can purchase. as simple as that
Any RCA cables work.
If you're trying to get DVS or vinyl to the mixer, you need 2 RCA splitters (female to dual male) per deck.
Honestly, though, I might not should answer…I have no idea what multicore cables do. But the box will work with just normal RCAs, so I'm guessing they're a marketing stunt based on their customers not knowing how cables work.
I used norml rca with dvs. There special traktor cables are just easier to setup and breakdown. Dont beleve the hype.
The multicores suck and are really bulky. Just plug your TTs into the A and B inputs of the audio 8 and plug RCAs from the A B outputs to your mixer. You just lose the ability to switch to thru mode from your mixer that way which isn't a big deal.
I actually looked up what the multicore cables were, and they would be really convenient if they weren't designed by monkies.
Cable snakes are awesome…unfortunately they had all that bulky crap attached. I'll probably end up making something like it using shrink wrap that doesn't suck and is fixable.
BTW, never buy a cable that isn't repairable. They're always more expensive.

Hmm, care to elaborate / post a pic somewhere? I bought a TSP crossgrade kit in the summer of 2010 and the two multicores it contained are of the new breed - no detachable segments, reasonable length.
Also, they're no sonically worse than my el cheapo RCAs, whether we're talking about the direct thru or the outputs from Traktor. This doesn't mean they can't be improved upon, but I don't have better cables to A/B test with.
I'm wondering whether yours are an even improved version.
