If that price is correct then they come in at £1500 which is the price of the current model.

I wouldn't be surprised if there was a new firmware update on the CDJ 2000's to bring some of the new features.

It's not exactly a massive improvement, i'm sure the Sync function will put some people off.
Know we know why after months and months of delay why NI finally pulled their finger out and suddenly gave the CDJ2000 a bit of love with the Advanced HID capability - this new model is just Traktor in a CDJ.

There's also nothing really in this update that can't be achieved by hooking up Traktor to an original CDJ if you're that way inclined.

You overestimate what NI knows about the new CDJ-line. We don't even have one.

I'm hoping for a firmware-update but don't believe there will be one. The new features are nice but don't make me want to sell mine and grab a pair.

I can agree with you there... i think NI realized scrolling wav and the dreaded sync were inevitable so they had no choice but to implement advanced hid on the 900 and 2000... kinda wondering why they skipped the 850 and went for the 400 though.

Everything I have seen or read about NI tells me they don't let other companies product releases dicate their choices beyond what they already have planned. I also think they have pretty comprehensive plans going well into the future.

Why do people keep talking negatively about a sync button on a CDJ. I've even seen posts (elsewhere) that says if there is one it the poster would never buy another Pioneer unit.

Not that I would use it (I don't play off of Rekordbox), but I don't understand how it is so bad or "dreaded". The new CDJs already allow you to dial in the BPM to 2 decimal places (using Rekordbox analyzed files), that is pretty much sync but without a button. Putting a button on there to do that wouldn't make it any more cheating than using the decimal places of tracks Rekordbox beatgridded.

Nice "dreaded" quote!! Im getting them regardless... been patiently wating and saving all summer... my issue is it puts us one step closer to having our peers question us as laptop/sync djs when the reason i was holding off was to get away from my laltop... it was a task for me being dead in 1the ear and partial in tbe other... i do use a dvs now (serato)i but dont want the screen in my setup anymore at least for the time being...

Anything that makes something easier automatically devalues it in the eyes of someone who learned the hard way. At least to some, I just see it as a easier way to do things and welcome progress.
