Mapping a Total Control
Hi everyone,
I'm trying to remap a numark total control, hoping that in the end of the day it sucks less. However, I'm getting strange results and somehow the whole process is very unsatisfactory.
For example: I assigned a modifier to the button called page (in the traktor standard setting) in order to use the jogs for either jog-scratch-pitchbend-function and alternatively for cue/loop move (I`m not totally sure whether it was called this way, anyway its the function for just moving quickly through the track without changing pitch or anything) While it worked perfectly for deck A copying the thing to deck B just does not work, ie. the second function I assigned to the jog does not come about.
Second problem is that using modifiers some buttons suddenly start activating other functions than they are assigned to be it led outputs on other buttons or functions that they neither were nor areassigned to
in these cases I checked the midi notes (nothing) they are not referring to the same function and I didn't mess around with them either, so I don't get how that kind of bug happens.
Anyway does anyone know whether there is a firmware problem (on the bottom of the controller it says that it was produced in 2007 and I never added a new firmware) or does anyone have a sweet and sexy tsi to share?
That would be awesome
Cheers from Hangover city

Ya man, that's the same problem i've been having, thus is why i'm going to be upgrading in the next few months once the tour is over.

did you remap it or is it set on the original tsi?
I've been searching a firmware update and found version 1.2 in this forum. However, at the same time in the NI forum there are plenty of posts on firmware issues to be found and these related to current versions as well, so I'm kind of unsure whether the update would mean trading the plague for cholera, since besides the mapping issue the TC does at least not interfere negatively otherwise.
does anyone know if it is possible to copy the current firmware to the harddrive?
Rock on
