you can probably find a really good condition djm 800 for that much. I have the. I like it alot for the price, it can be found for like 600-800 pretty easily. Overall the amount of effects and sound is pretty good. Independent filters/sweep in about the number 1 thing I miss from the 800, but besides that its a solid mixer. If you can find a good used 800 I would swoop that up though.

pioneer filters sound shit though, IMO you'd be better off getting an A+H

Don't take a Pioneer mixer. DJM-800 effects are nice at first, but after a while you'll be only using the Echo/Delay and even they sound shit. Not to speak about the Reverb. Save a few 100 extra and get a Xone DB2 or take a Xone:92.

Honestly? Your best bet is going into the closest DJ shop to where you live and try them out. Don't try and spend your whole budget, that's just you asking to get ripped off. Try out all the sets you can. Find what you enjoy

you would spend so much money on behalf of some strangers opinion? lol ^^

since you didn't mentioned A&H or some other serious brands and since it seems like you think pioneer mixers are good, i would suggest you to get some knowhow before spending so much money on crap ^^
