Awesome - looks like he is using Ableton AND Traktor together, with them sync'd to the timecode vinyl!!!!

At 1:41, he controls the Ableton effects with Machine, and it is perfectly in time with the Traktor audio (timecode from his TT)

How the hell does he do that???

You can sync ableton and traktor...so if the ableton effects are sync'd to the ableton bpm then they are also sync'd to traktors bpm.

I still don't understand if hes playing the samples from traktor or ableton because he could be using hot cues, ableton clips, or a drum rack...idk

I assumed that he was playing all the music in Traktor - because he was scratching a lot of it.

I know that you can midi sync Ableton and traktor - but I always thought that went out of teh window when you used timecode vinyl???

It looks like the back ground track is in traktor, scratching in traktor, 2 effects racks and cue points controlled by the x1, ableton drum rack controlled by machine, there is an lfo on the powertools samples and the volume on the djm is the transpose of the samples, make the screen full size and you can see all the elements used patch, accept maybe the one clip that looped, but it might have already been done before loading it to the drum rack

very cool routine I'm well impressed...

Yeah - I was impressed to. I'd like to see/hear more from him. Especially using complete tracks and not just the available powertools.

Where I got confused, was when he engaged the Ableton LFO, and it effected (what I assume) was the track playing in Traktor, which was being controlled by the timecode vinyl. The LFO stayed sync'd to the beat...

I'd love to see his Ableton routing.
