Default Another reason to buy Nintendo!!!!

Me using my Nintendo controllers as midi controllers in Traktor Pro 2. Funny stuff. By the way, this was just a test. What do you think?

This is what he wrote under the video

    I used:
    - Macbook Pro with OSX operating system
    - Traktor Pro 2
    - Two Nintendo Wii controllers connected to the computer through Bluetooth.
    - A program that converts the Nintendo Wii signals to midi signals. I used "WiiToMidi".
    - A midi mapping for Traktor Pro 2, or you need to create your own midi mapping to controll the fx parameters in Traktor. I created my own midi mapping.

    Pretty cool IMO

I've also been messing around with Wii controllers mapped to keyboard shortcuts via glovepie. Not terribly useful but controlling anything with gestures is always entertaining.

does it follow gestures in three dimensional space or just two dimensions? It kind of looks like just up and down in the video, but I remember from using a wii that you can use 3 dimensional gestures, although not sure if that is because it is being tracked by the infrared camera as well as the accelerometer in games.

Wiimote position in space is done by attaching an expansion to it.
    Original wiimotes only have accelerometers.

    Excellent demo btw.
Many photons have died to bring you this information.
