Traktor Won't Play M4A Apple Lossless Files

I decided to convert some of my WAV files within iTunes to Apple Loss-less mainly for space saving but also fed up of the WAVs not holding metadata like BPM & artwork etc.

Anyway after converting these within iTunes they play fine within iTunes but Traktor won't. Traktor sees the files and its metadata but the red bar flashes at the bottom saying could not be played due to missing or corrupt file.

I checked http://www.native-instruments.com/fo...ad.php?t=82347 and he seems to have a similar issue though he is using an external drive and mine is all from an internal drive.


Please help As I'd like to retain quality where I can

What exact version of Traktor are you using.

That issue was fixed a long time ago.

Try updating Quicktime

AIFFs instead of WAVs ftw.

- Software already up to date, does it matter if it's using Quicktime or Quicktime 7?

- I'd normally use AIF but I get sent some promos in WAVs

Any thing else I can try? really don't wanna go down to MP3 unless I have to

Flac, store my whole collection in flac...no problems with live, traktor (1.2 and 2.x) or any other software really, except itunes, but fuck itunes.

Thanks for that Maxted but I have over 5000 tunes in iTunes so that's not really an option for me right now.
Do you have any suggestions as to what I can do now? I

Latest version of Quicktime is 7 something

Sorry what I meant was both are up to date already but I never realized before that I have Quicktime AND Quicktime 7 installed on my mac and in fact they are 2 separate apps.

I wonder if Traktor needs to lok at one rather than the other to play M4A files and if so how can you do this.
