    I have an old 1200 with the motor shot up this thread gave me an idea lol could work just rip out the insides take the feet off pop one of those clock things through the spindle hole

    mind you be better if the platter worked spin on the seconds

    I have clocks made out of vinyl records. Much easier to hang on the wall...

    Those Deck-tics are nice though. Tempted to buy one but they seem a bit small to be practical.

    technics still make the 1210 mark 5 so it aint going away, they have just decided to only sell the more expensive ones

    Nothing wrong with the idea if your using a totally busted up technics, otherwise its majorly wasteful
