I've set up Maschine and Traktor so they can share my Audio 8 DJ... so I can trigger sounds in either.
No i just made a pattern out of the samples via the step editor.
Then i routed the sounds on a channel of my soundcard/mixer(xone 4d) so i could fade them, and then change the step pattern on the fly with the maschine.

Is it possible to route external soundcard input into a deck in traktor and use the traktor effects on it? That would be perfect.

Oh and here we go, just got the Email from Beatport:

Introducing Beatport Parts, Loops & Stems

    Link

This would be perfect to do with the Maschine, jump between songparts live and niceley and/or even change them live.

You probably could do that using jack, but why route external, just use internal.

Whats to see at that link?

Thanks for the comments guys. Are the browser menu and soundbank catatories easy to use. I mean is it easy to find a sound simular to the one in your head? This is one af the things NI brags about.

    The short description is:

Yeah but whats the point of using pre-made drum (or other) loops when producing with the Maschine??

Hey has anyone had any experience with hooking up a keyboard to the Maschine, i'm finding the keyboard mode on the Maschine controller insufficient.

No my point was, instead of playing a track as an mp3, play the arrangement with the maschine. And yeah of course i would use my own beats with the maschine most of the time. But i think it could be nice to play a "famous" song with it.

I just plugged my midi keyboard in and selected it as input in standalone mode. As a VST in Ableton, I had to select the midi input on the Maschine channel, and Ableton midi or some such from the plugin.
