haha that's exactly what I'd have to do!! or else I'd be up all night putting off the studying, telling myself I'd get down to business in half an hour. Smart move to get it out of sight for a while!

yo how is the sampler on maschine, can i change the bit depth on it, also, i am a hip hop head and will be using it to sample and stuff, and i like making nice clean music with perfect chops, but i also like to make my sample dirty and gritty sometimes, how would you say the work flow is on it also.

cause by the end of the summer either i will get maschine or a mpc-2000xl

Last weekend i was confident enough to use the Maschine in my DJSet for the first time. I was running the Maschine Software and Traktor on one Laptop,
performancewise i had no problems, which i wasn't sure about.

Using the MIDI-Clock from Traktor to Sync both apps worked super accurate.
So the foundation to let it rock was given.

I had fun adding vocals to tracks in traktor, and change them on the fly.
And playing full tracks on it its a whole new exerience for me.
Jump easyly between parts, adjust or remove single instruments,
    so many possibilities.

    Now the negative parts:

I am sad to say it, but it is impossible to create a whole track live.
Because loading a sample, or instruments is causing glitches or breakdowns of the sound.
So you got to have your whole instruments prepared.

If you want to load a new track into it, it takes ages too load them, and sometimes it crashes, or is causing traktor to play jumpy.
Additionaly it sets the volume on another level and you got to it adjust again.

The Solution for the last negatives will be to use a 2nd laptop to run maschine, but the glitches when loading instruments/samples will stay.

But still, i love the Maschine so intuitive, it just makes fun playing it.

May I ask which platform you use and what you are using as a virtual midi interface?

I am using LoopBe30 on the Vista (32-bit) platform. When I sync to Maschine, it's BPM fluctuates all over the place and never stabilizes until I stop the track in Traktor (adjusting the offset does not help at all). I was initially thinking, "hmm, beatgrid must be off..." but I've tightened that down as much as possible and still have the same result.

Now of course, you are using a Mac then that will explain everything.
