If everyone to which that is happening just sends an e-mail to the label saying "I hate this copyright claim you did there, now I'm never going to buy any the music released by you guys again" they soon enough will discover that this is not the way to go if they want to survive any longer in this industry.
But that's my thought of it

I've taken down all of the mixes I did because I kept getting this. I only use SC now to upload any bootleg/mashup tracks I do and I just stick a 15min silence at the start, it's worked so far...

had the same problem with woo by SX. was the first track of the mix, too.. just mixed in a 2nd track from the beginning and it worked

tbf, soundcloud was designed for artists to debut tracks and receive comments about them, whereas mixcloud was designed to host mixes (and more importantly is setup to actually pay the artists for the tracks used ...)

I guess I play music no one's ever heard of. I upload two hour mixes every other week and have so for well over a year. I've only been flagged on one because of a Deadmau5 song.
the fade in changes the properties of the file enough that soundclouds song identification algorithm was fooled. great thinking.
Let's all migrate to mixcrate! It's free and friendly and the interface is lovely. And they actually go through submitted mixes and delete the real junk.
