I own a pair of the regular LP's and I'm impressed with them. I was looking at the specs from the LP2 to the LP and it turns out there's not much of a difference. They have the same 50mm drivers, same frequency response, and cosmetics.

I think the LP's would be a better choice if you're looking to save a little bit of cash.

all the reviews i have read say that the tma-1's are a little clearer. and it seems like ive seen everyone and their mothers walkin around with a shiny pair of lp's

Ive had the original LP's for over a year now and they are great. Honestly if what LikeACheeseStick said about the frequency response is true, then you should just go for the LP's. Either way I bet you will be satisfied.
