Default Automatically skip part of a song in Traktor Pro

I am wondering if its possible to automatically skip part of a song in Traktor Pro. Sometimes longer club mixes tend to have fairly lengthy "boring" sections. Is there a way to setup a track so that these sections are automatically skipped? Obviously I can set given cue points and manually do the skip, but it would be nice to have this automate-able.

why do you just edit the track on a sound forge or audicity?

Sure thats one option. But I would prefer to leave the original song intact and not clutter my library with partial duplicates if it can be prevented.

I usually leave both tracks in my playlist, and just label the other track as edit.

I had to make an edit cuz the intro & break are long as hell.

Can you elaborate slightly? I know there is a move menu, which takes immediate effect. I do not see a move cue type in the cue submenu though:

Set a Cue point where you want the song to load from, and store it. then switch it from "cue" to "load" and it'll show up as an orange line/dot and when the song is loaded it will load from that point.

Right, that works if I want to skip an intro, but I want to skip part of a song in the middle.

i think the move cue function is located under where you load the track into and veiw the waveform. also in this place is the gridding and looping functions. you should be able to choose how many beats to jump and in which direction

could you just use a hot cue? maybe leave another track as the master, ie not the audible track, then jump to the hot cue, would it jump to the nearest beat in line with the master? if the audible track was the master, it'd probably jump immediately and possibly slightly off beat.

if not, beat jump will do it if you know how many beats you want to jump, but jumping to a fixed point means you could decide when enough was enough and go straight to the interesting part
