I know I'm going to be in the minority here, but I think Traktor's UI is fugly.

i honestly dont think any of them look that great if im being honest, i like traktor over others because the workflow suits me, however one thing i would like is vertical waveforms, its all that would tempt me over to serato, but i like the versatility of traktor too much

    Wow, that looks really nice.

I don't understand people dismiss a performance program based upon it's looks- you should care more about features and performance. So long as the information is well presented and legible it doesn't really matter.

The DJ program I use looks like this and honestly I prefer it to traktor's interface.

because i need to enjoy what i'm using. i totally hate the UI of VDJ and never really enjoyed using it. looks to cluttered imo. traktor is pretty crowded too but is organized nicely. serato (which i use) is just very streamlined overall and i like it a lot more.

As far as i'm aware it's been possible to custom skin vdj for a long time, so looks should be even less of an issue.

I used to use and like vdj, moved towards traktor when i looked into midi mapping and effects, but for straight up playing (weddings for example) vdj always seems the best option. I guess because its UI is more like a media player, with things tucked away its just easier to use and less threatening when you don't need to go wild. The same reason is why people say it looks unprofessional i guess...

On the other hand i know it's powerful, but it's not immediately apparent (like the old mapping system) when you need it to be, that was what put me off.

Yeah, isn't VDJ completely skinnable? It can look like whatever you want it to, right?

have you seen them all though... or are you basing your opinion from an old version or a cracked one that had a couple of the old skins included in the download?

I use these personally, they have everything you need and nothing that you don't.
