Depends on the medication and the type of epilepsy. We got some guests who "suffer" from it, but the LJ can strobo all he want, no fit at all. But then again, those folks have a ligt to mild case, nothing heavy and take medication to prevent it

Honestly if you're epileptic DJing would probably not be in your best interest. The same way as being a heavy smoker if you suffer from heavy asthma.

Lifes crazy, people get lung cancer and don't even smoke a day in their life.

You gotta live like its your last day on earth.

    God bless.

I completely disagree.. I was diagnosed with epilepsy when i was 8, and they eventually progressed to grandmal seizures around the age of
    12. It all comes down to what the persons triggers are. When you go in and have a full test they hook you up to an EEG and run a bunch of tests: hyperventilation, certain frequencies, stress, lack of slee, AND strobe light at different distances from the face at different speeds..
Every epilepsy case is unique and each person has their own trigger or set of triggers that will put the risk of them going into an epileptic attack through the rough, but nothing is fact.

I do know that in my particular case, as long as i take my medication and get sleep I am fine. The only things that have ever brought on seizures for me have been lack of sleep, stress, and not taking my medication..

But yeah, just a little first hand experience for you guys..

I've got epilepsy, And it depends on the type of epilepsy you have, photosensitive or not, thankfully i am not.

Was a heartbreaking moment when i was first told i may not be able to be a DJ.
