    What Needle to Use on both Timecode Vinyl and regular Vinyl ?

    Opinion on this is always gonna be divided .
    Are you a scratch DJ or not.
    Whatever the answer just buy the best you can afford.
    I use Ortofon Qberts cus they are great for scratching and have a great loud output.
    The only ones that compete are the Shures which supposedly track better but i prefer the look of the Qberts.

    Dont worry when people talk about wear on the vinyl, if your using timecode it doesnt matter and none of the good carts cause that much wear.

    ALso theres no evidence that i know of that the Timecode specific Carts are any better than normal ones.

    i use the shure sc35c, they get the job done and dont eat up ur vinyl like the m44

    Whichever model you get make sure to set your tables up to the manufacturer's recommended settings. That has a huge bearing on how hard the wear is on your vinyl.

    I also used the 35C when I was using vinyl (I still have a bunch of cartridges and needles floating around for when I decide to learn scratching basics) but yeah, definitely depends on what you want to use them for. If just for mixing you don't need anything terribly special
