    Default X1 HID advantage

So, I've just gotten myself an X1 and while I love it already, I can't help but wonder what the HID mode is for. As far as I can see, it doesn't have any functionality that couldn't properly be mapped with MIDI, right?
Then again, NI probably included it for a reason, so anyone care to slip me a hint? Am I missing out on something?

It'll have better resolution than midi. Plus it's easier to map with the proper name of the knob or button showing up in the controller manager rather that midi which can be a little daunting to noobs.

    Ah, makes sense indeed, thanks!

One more quickie: is there a way to move the track more precisely than using seek? I've found using pitch bend when track is paused could do the trick, but for most cases the sensitivity is by far too low.
I know I should be googling this, but fuck it!
