Hi - I'm a new S4 user and tried both the DJTT and Scamo's jogwheel S4 fx mappings, both of which were great and huge fun but sadly both seemed a little unstable and with me having to do 5 hours sets at my club I can't feel I can use them (such as had a very tricky issue last week at the club with one of the mappings) - and I also didn't like loosing the loop counter with the DJTT mapping.
So have decided to try working in Midi mode with my S4 for jogwheel effects and hoping to build a similar mapping to ArmyOfMe's S2 mapping with the jogwheels. Obviously with midi mode you loose all the S4 functionality (so was planning to add back in some of the transport and filter functionality in the midi mapping). Not ideal, but thought I could switch between native and midi mode for some jogwheel fun mid track n switch back before mixing out to my next track.
Just wondering, has anyone remapped their S4 to go into midimode using 'SHIFT+SHIFT' like the S2 rather than 'Shift+Browser button'
As I think for a couple of reasons I'd much prefer to use those rather than the Shift+browser button combination ?
Also, are there any walk throughs for creating simple jogwheel S4 effects mappings? Ideally in native rather than midi, but if midi is the way to go I'd really appreciate any help/pointers as it really has to work as solid as possible in the club.
Thanks for any help
