    Default FX breakdown

Is there anyone that would be willing to help explain the inner workings of the FX in Traktor Pro 2? Such as what it is they do to the audio itself. Also any advice on proper execution of the ones that are commonly used the most would be greatly appreciated. I practice for an at least an hour or two every day I don't work a 10 hour shift, twenty-thirty minutes a day no matter what. I experiment with the FX to gain knowledge in practice sessions but I figured a little advice from some Techtoolers can never hurt. Thank you all!

This is a little dated, but still applies to most of the effects.

get familiar with delays , filters , reverb, beatmasher , and gater. these are the bread and butter imo. the other ones are useful to experiment with once you start to make chains. if you want push button annihilation that utterly transforms the tracks into controllerist goo like you see on the youtube, youre gonna need to either (best option here ->) LEARN to map. its a bitch at first but it hits you then its easy(kinda)... or if you just cant see yourself DYI, download someones mapping at traktor freaks that has fx presets built in, OR just go buy a midi fighter and spam it until you realize that your mixing sounded better when you were just using some delay and filters.

I found that taking 2 bar (8 beats) loops of different sounds like just drums, vocals, etc. and loops of full instrumentatio, then applying one effect in advanced mode and changing the different parameters to find out what they do and how they affect the sound gave me the best understanding of how they work.
