The weak link in many many clubs is the promoter.

The DJ usually knows his shit. The manager usually knows his shit.

The Promoter is often a "get rich quick dickhead" with no business knowledge who thinks he/she can screw people and not put the money back into the clubnite.

Ive walked out on a club nite before and its something you do after thinking long on hard so massive respect Damien.

good on you.. i cancelled on a gig a few weeks ago because I got a bad feeling about the promoter. Turned out my hunch was true and the guy was a snake. Those kind of headaches are never worth it, best to cut your losses the instant your gut tells you something is fishy.
