Yeah good stuff! I really like djay and want it to succeed; I met the algoriddim guys at CES (along with a guy from Vestax working with them on the Spin) and they were very cool and very interested in what users would want from the software. There are a couple of sound cards available for the ipad that would solve the sound issue and make this a real option for gigging, but none that I know of specifically for DJs. I think you could probably hook up any USB soundcard if you use the camera adapter kit, which turns the ipad USB jack into a normal slot for USB, but I have no idea what you have to do to djay to get it to recognize the soundcard.

Looks like its made by DJ Player, whom I mentioned briefly in the article. There's definitely a lot more out there than the two I focused on, but it's impossible for me to try them all (or pay for them all). I just tried to concentrate the two most popular ones based on feedback from other djs.
