While moving stuff today I came across this blast from the past (this probably won't make the final cut for my setup):
    old mixer.jpg
Not quite my first mixer (that was a Gemini 626), but not far off.

I did have problems with it overheating, but generally if I'm careful about making sure the fan isn't blocked when its plugged in it isn't a problem. If it doesn't have good air flow though, yeah, it'll heat up pretty good.

How do you like the Technics RP-DH1200? I was thinking of picking up a pair. I currently have the Pioneer HDJ-500 which sounds good but I do not like how they sit on top of my ears.

I really like them. They've got nice big 50mm drivers and they're comfortable as hell. They're quite large and nicely padded, to the point that they're almost more over the ear phones rather than on the ear. I've had them for a couple years now and have had absolutely no complaints.
