Hey guys,
I've got my first gig comin up tomorrow night. Its at a venue for one of my friends' throwing an end of the year bash. Anyone have any pointers or tips to share before I go out there? Definitely can't wait!
Thanks,
DJ Panda

There have been plenty of posts on this subject already. Use the search feature, should be able to find everything you need.
Beatslicing for the bitches
Bring enough cake and champagne to throw/spray at the crowd.
Are you playing on their system or yours? Either way ask to show up early in case you need to be familiar with the mixer or setting up your gear in their environment. Bring a flashlight!
Seriously best advice that I can give you is sit down and record all your mixes and not just some ten minute mix sit down and record at least four 30 minute mixes with different track selection. Listen to them they will give you a good understanding of how you sound live. This will be you best bet to get you ready.
Other than that if you have not been practicing take the rest of the day lock yourself in a room with your set up and mix away recording everything.
Play live is the only best way to determine how good you are
Enjoy yourself
