Default Best way to get noticed?

    Hey guys!

I already know that the best way to get noticed as a dj is through word of mouth and by making friends with the right people.

But i would like to know what websites are the best to get discovered with/tell people about to listen to your music?

I Current have Youtube and Twitter.

Would any other sites be good such as:
    Facebook?
    Soundcloud?
    MixCloud?

I guess as there is a flood of so-called "DJs" out there (including a bunch of great ones for sure!) it is an illusion to think someone is constantly searching for new talents. I think the best way to get noticed is writing letters and sending demo tapes to radios, event managers and club owners. I think nowadays it's you who has to get creative and become active to get noticed!
Increasing you online presence probably won't help until you come to that point that someone being interested in booking you will ask for the size of your fanbase.

I think soundcloud has the potential of all social media to be more powerful for djs as a promotional tool. It lets other people hear your sound, gives a space for bio, ties in nicely with other social media. When you do start to get booked insist that they put your soundcloud on the flyer.
In the meantime almost all your social networking that is going to be productive is going to be in real time.

Some sort of headware, a whole bunch of purchased facebook fans and twitter followers and a mediocre production that jumps on the current cool, yet mainstream accessible sound that 18 year old kids are listening to.

It's sad to see professionals that still do this too.156424_402311353146938_153464388031637_1190929_1033487234_n.jpgThat's Quintino... and those plateau's give it away. Sad to see how many people are doing it for the fame and money, and not for the love of the music.

Not surprisingly apart from just promoting yourself as a DJ, simply go out to the venues you want to see yourself playing gigs at. MEET the promoters, the regulars, the bartenders, and most importantly the DJs -- THEY are the ones who can refer you to the bossman of the night and help you get gigs there by referral.

If you're a producer/DJ however, the internet marketing is much more important than if you're just aiming to hold a res night at your local watering hole.

Hahah funny you should mention that, this weekend a handful of lamestream artists were busted for buying fan likes on fb...

For some reason I refuse to believe deadmau5 would buy fans
