Default Moving & How to rebuild career

Hey guys, I'm gona be moving from NYC to Vegas in the summer and was just wondering what to expect as far as DJ'ing. Mainly I'm looking for tips as to how to market my gigs in NYC in Vegas to start off since I wont have any kind of following out there to start.

I'm sure many of you have had the same thing before so any advice would be great.

    Thanks

How did you build your "career" in NYC? Just do the same thing in Vegas. This isn't rocket science

Rocket science is easy, rocket engineering is hard

To OP - surely you have flyers and so on from your nights, take these and get knocking on doors

Essentially what I figured I would do. I figured a bunch of guys on here have had to the exact same thing so why not ask. I just really don't go back to empty bars lol.

I found it easier to move to new cities when you travel and connect with other DJ's. I always visited clubs when I travelled and tried getting 10min guest spots. Also, going to NAMM, BPM Show and Musikmesse (etc.) to make these connections. When you're in the circle it's pretty easy. Plus, finding free accommodations with resident DJs around the world is always a plus.

....Oh yah, and don't forget about Ibiza

I would suggest looking for DJs who would let you play an opening set for them. If you're great at it, it'll give you a chance to play larger clubs.
