    Default Opinions on DJ Name

Hello guys, I kinda need your input on a dj name I came up with lately..
Granted the fact that my real name is Philip Pronios
I thought that P-SQUARED/ P^2 seems like a good solution.
What I want to hear is your POV.
    Thank you in advance

No context; it's a name. No one is going to understand P^2 though

I don't think punters are big on algebra; I'd go with something else.

Um, you could take P^2 somewhere with logos and make it a brand. So the suggestion has potential. But as mentioned, getting people to understand it means P-Squared is anther issue. And P-Squared doesn't ring like a DJ name to me. It is more like a geeky rapper name. "Jo, jo, jo, it's P-squared in duh house! Slamin it and rockin it so you got no doubts! Yeah....."

Just to throw another question in here, if you don't mind Philippro (which also doesn't sound too bad either as a name for a DJ to me). Does "DJ" need to be in the name? I mean, I've come into this scene at a late age and have relatively just started mixing music. And I actually don't consider myself a "DJ", as I now only know how to "control" music with an S4 and Traktor. (yeah, I'd love to learn how to use turntables, scratch, etc. but haven't yet had the chance). But, I actually don't want to be called a DJ or have it in my name. DJ scamo or DJ whatever... (scamo is just a mix of my initials, BTW). My son, who is also learning to mix music with me, said we should call our selves "party pilots" or something similar. So does DJ really need to be in the name at all?

Edit-/ Sorry, I don't want to take over this thread with another conversation, so I've made my own thread. Please continue with the suggestions for Philippro. Sorry again...

Yeah, leave the DJ out. When people see you behind the decks, they won't assume you are a concert pianist, they will know you are the DJ.
