Default What is your favorite BBC Essential Mix?

I love the show, everyone always throws down a great set. Laidback Luke's essential used to be my favorite, but... after hearing Rustie's essential mix it definitely has my vote. If you haven't heard it I suggest you do! What is your favorite?

breakage or james zabiella, both carry you away on an emotional journey for an essential mix I prefer that style over club bangers.

I liked the mstrkrft essential mix. it was a little rough as far as the technical aspect of it, but it gets good towards the end.

Subfocus 2009 such a good selection of of music and varied tempo's flowed perfect start to finish
Carl Cox 2005 space set techno, stomping ( listen to that at least once a week and still sounds fresh)
Seth troxler 2011 the intro tracks alone amazing....wasn't into the rustie one at all just couldn't get into it

oakie's original goa mix. i have a beat up cassette somewhere with pete tong's voiceover which segues into eerie trance voices. sublime!

Desyn Masiello's Essential mix from 2004. Really kick started that electro house sound that everyone was jumping on at that time, but it's still such a timeless mix as well. Still sounds fresh today

Not trying to bash OP, but I thought that was pretty awful. A whole bunch of stumbling transitions. For example, he just fell into Juicy J and fell right back out of it. It just wasn't smooth at all.

I'm gonna get bashed for this. Normally I'm a prog house fan, but Bassnectar's 2010 (?) essential mix was just one energy filled continuum of awesome. He definitely gained a fan with that one.
