Opening it back up because he doesn't want to build one.

I'm not sure of any kind of desks that you could use for DJ'ing, that won't cost at least a few of hundred dollars. Ideally you want your equipment to be at your belly button level when you're standing at the table.

EDIT: looks like Musicians Friend has a few things that might be what you need if you're okay with sitting.

Well if you want one of the nice prebuilt DJ stands prepare to pay $1500+

I thought about getting one of these at one point and they are reasonably priced

    http://www.dexdjstands.com.au/

    Shipping/import is just a pain

actually looks like they have a US distributor now so not a huge deal, scroll down

    http://www.djdeals.com/stands.htm

edit: just saw it was for an s2 so that's all overkill

just look through there you may find something

I recommend to design one yourself and have someone else to build it (provided you have a good friend with tools). Just take a look at the recommended stuff here and get some ideas. It will be cheaper and just what you need/want.

I live in the uk and trust me its a lot easier and cheaper to build one yourself.

just go ikea or order online.

If you have never built one before dont worry its easy, and there are so many threads on this forum about ikea mods
you will have all the help you need.

and with the money you save you can put it towards something else.
