Default Old electronic music and New electronic music.

How come when talking to the younger generation about music when i bring up the genre of electro house or the older type of rave music they instantly they tell me electro house sucks?

When electro house has been around way longer then dubstep.

I know people have there preference but thats just pisses me off.
I dont bash dubstep but when ever you bring up old school techno or minimal techno they say its "GAY" or that shit sucks brah go jam out to skrillex.

correct me if i´m wrong but imho electro house is possibly as old as dubstep. both genre´s developed in the early 2000s. but i could be mistaking.

No electro house has been around since 1990's.

Dubstep has been around since 1998.

Not that far apart but far enough to make a statement and should be respected for its activity in the industry.

What are you considering 90s electro house? Just curious.

I date most things by Shaun of the Dead. Apparently Electro's been around since at least 2004.

maybe cause kids today that a electro house song is cool and its just a rip off the OG techno, hardcore, drum & bass track and gives no credit to the OG source. But that goes for any music genre. I had one kid tell me if I had Joy Division cover to The Killers - Shawdowplay. He swore the Killers made the track. I nearly flipped out, but I told him it was the other way around and just said yeah right. Many different scenerios, but I think its a lack of musical knownledge, thats all.
