    Default New tutorial forum

No doubt you may have seen it, but can you help fill it ?

Ill send free midi via email to anyone who can help with tutorials for this section of the forum. If you ever felt like giving back to the community now is a terrific opportunity, were happy to have anything from simple beginner tutorials though to advanced tutorials. Should the section growing then we will start putting everything into folders to keep it organised.

Thank everyone for any help you can offer to help fill this new section of the forums

Hey Bento I've always enjoyed teaching and now that I'm getting to be decent with Traktor Pro and VCI 100SE / DJing I'd love to give back.

If you have a list of ideas I can let you know what I can do. My buddy has a nice camera but he's at vegas right now so when he gets back I can start borrowing and posting.

Also, do you think we can make a tutorial video request thread/sticky to kick this off?

I'm very happy Ean has hinted at a monthly competition similar to TenMinMix at DJ Tutor.

Ps. What do you mean by free midi? Aren't midi files already free?

    Best,
    Caesar

Yeah the free midi comment was a joke
I cant really offer anything besides DJTT <3 which seems to go a incredibly long away around here

I added a comment in the stickes that suggestion should be put on the uservoice page here:
    http://djtechtools.uservoice.com/

This keeps everything neat and organised when it comes to people making requets for content on different aspects of the site and allows people to vote on ideas in an orderly fashion.

This is off topic but I've been wondering for the longest time - how do you rep people? - lol

Yea not sure if you have a 'standard' on doing tutorials, maybe a good idea would be to make a tutorial on making a tutorial and what to remember. Like things to make sure of when taking video or writing? If you have some guidelines could you please throw up a link on the faq? If not then is it kinda our own style? I ask because I am definitely going to be making some soon for the site, maybe if you want to have a pool of suggested tutorials?

p.s. loving DJTT SM 7, definitely want to talk to you about the pdf on skype

hey, I was wondering if anyone could post a video with some basic dj techniques, maybe a video with a basic mix describing what you are doing and why, or anything that you think would be useful for a beginner. Specifically when using the VCI 100 and traktor pro, I don't always know what type of basic format to follow. I looked at taking dj lessons, but they are about $1000 at our local dj school. so that isn't really realistic... so any help you could provide would be great!

thanks alot, and thanks to DJTT for hosting this site.

hey esteban ... the guy does my head in a bit but for some pretty basic tips, some a bit silly but you may get something from it , youtube search for djtutor. Its an english guy who seems to do nothing but record every single second of his life while messing around with dj equipment
